My great great grandfather was Edward Williams who married Prudence Brown in Iowa. I don't have very much information about Edward. I always heard that Edward was from England and came over here on a British Man of War. He jumped ship and stayed in America. I remember my grandparents mentioning that they didn't know if he changed his name or not. Edward was on the census in 1910 or 1920 living with my great grandparents. I think it was in Greenleaf, Kansas. George Byron and Lillie May Williams were my great grandparents. Luphana Brown was Prudence Brown's mother. I hope to hear from you and perhaps we can compare information we have on our families. I have Edward Williams' naturalization certificate. It is pretty fragile, but I could photocopy it for you if you don't have one. Sincerely, Patti
