I am researching Jacob C. Fowler and his wife, Laura E. Hunter. They appeared on the 1900 and 1905 census with their children, Joseph Clinton Fowler, and Alanson H. Fowler. That is the last I find of Jacob, Laura, & Alanson. The WPA lists a Laura Fowler, born 17 Apr 1842, died 18 Feb 1906 in Farmington, but the birth date is not the same as on the 1900 (Nov 1845)census. Jacob is not listed on the WPA listings.
Joseph Clinton Fowler, born 17 Jan 1883, in Lee, IA, is my particular focus. He married about 1906 to Adena? They appear on the 1910 census in Poweshiek County. Her name is a little difficult to decipher. Joseph next appears on the 1915 census as a widower in Muscatine, IA with his two children, Joseph Cleland Fowler and Elsworth A. Fowler. In 1920 he was in Jerauld County, SD with his two children and his new wife, Louise.
If anyone has any clue to Adena's correct name and her maiden name, I would love to hear from you. Any other info on the family welcome, too, such as the deaths/burials of Jacob, Laura, and Adena.
