Hi Eric -

I am not researching this family, but based on the Harness Cemetery inscription booklet, I can provide you with some information:

- Harness Cemetery is located just NE of Mt Sterling in Verson Township, Van Buren County. (Mt Sterling is a short drive SE of Cantril.)

- In the cememtery, there's a gravestone for:

THOMMEN, Mary E. (maiden TRUE) 1913 - 1958

- There are also other THOMMEN family members in Harness (nearly all buried directly next to Mary).

Other notes:

- There is a Jemima TRUE buried in Blackledge Cemetery (very close to Harness). The inscription is limited, but interesting:

Died 20 Nov 1846 or 1840; Wife Of John True

(The year doesn't match your John True very well, but the coincidence of the names and being right down the road from Mary E. Thommen's burial is of interest).

- The VB County web site also indicates a TRUE burial in Miller Chapel Cemetery, but I don't have the inscription book for that one. The cemetery is located NE of Keosauqua I believe.

- Both Harness and Blackledge are very, very close to the Missouri border. It is possible the family lived, died, or is buried in Missouri.

- Unfortunately, I have no obituary information.
