Thomas JONES d1846, burial place?

Looking for the burial place of my Thomas Jones, born in England about 1780, and married Ann. Thomas died 03 March 1846 in Van Buren Co. His son John resided in Birmingham, and was buried in Winchester Cemetery in 1873.

The only clue for burial place for Thomas that I have, is written on an old family group sheet - which says:

Abandoned Indian cemetery near Keosauqua.

I wondered if perhaps anyone may know of an abandoned cemetery near Keosauqua? I don't know which direction from Keosauqua - but am hoping that someone may know something further!

Thanks so much for helping find my Thomas and wife Ann.
