My daughter found this book at a flea market, Bentonsport,Iowa part of the American Guide Series, compiled by the Iowa Writers' Program, Work Projects Administration. It contains 38 pages, no index but a table of contents. It is a rich history of this hamlet of "fewer than a hundred souls". They celebrated its centennial in August 1939. Some of the chapters are Rock Island Station, Indian stories, Mormons, Cornet Band, Civil War and Bentonsport Homecoming.

We will donate this to a Library first and if none is interested then to individuals. This book is a treasure.
