I am looking for information on Laura Anna Luke Chalk, born May 1876 in Keosauqua to William and Mary Overton Luke.
She married William W. Chalk May 24, 1893 in Van Buren county. They had seven children. William was gone somewhere in the 1910 census leaving Annie to send 5 of the children to live with other families and at the Girls School in Beaver, Polk county. She was living with her cousin, John McIntosh, in Van Buren county with the two youngest, Kenneth and Eva.
One daughter, Cecil Anna Curtis Chalk married Lewis Cargill.
I am not able to locate any of the children or Laura Anna except Cecil and Edith (married Hannah) after 1910.
I found a Kenneth J Murphy, born 1906, who died in San Bernardino, California in 1990. The CA death index said his mother's name was Curtis and his father's name was Chalk. Am pursuing this.
Thanks for any help.
