William Adams, Physician

ADAMS, WELLS, STRONG

Attempting to find information on my Great-great grandfather William P. Adams. He moved to Farmington, Iowa and is listed in the earliest census as a Physician. He was married to Amanda Wells, the widow of Erastus Strong in 1834. He, along with Amanda's first son William A Strong and their son James Nelson are all listed in the 1840 and 1850 census records for Van Buren County. In the 1860 census Amanda is living with her son William A Strong, and the good doctor is no longer listed. I have a letter that states he died about 1866, but believe it was more like 1856. Any help in trying to track information would be appreciated.
