Saw your post on Van Buren Co list and am interested in the Knight Surname. My gr-gr grandfather was Enos Boyd. My mom and I "stumbled across" a marriage license between Enos and Phebe Knight on 6 April 1857 at the Courthouse in Keosauqua when visiting there several years ago. According to my grandmother whom Enos lived with for over 20 years, he married Phebe and they were married for several years (we found them in the 1860 census in VB co) and according to her Enos came home from work and Phebe had left him a note stating she had run off with a "traveling salesman". When we have asked if there were children or whose Phebe's family were, etc Grandma can't remember anything else. Pretty interesting because she never told us about his first marriage until we "found it". Anyway would be interested in any info on Phebe and if there is "another family story", also am interested if there were any children from this marriage, etc. Don't suppose there was a Phebe Ann Knight who was born abt 1839 in your family tree?
