Lottie Maria Miller 1904?

I recently saved a victorian farmhouse from demolition. It is located 1 mile east of Birmingham, Iowa. While stripping the 4 layers of wallpaper I discovered writing on the wall. "Lottie Maria Miller Van Buren Co. 1904" on the cellar wall is also writings by David Miller, about 30 entries that range from 1923-1937.
I have very little info on the family and less on the house. I was told that William Miller, the first physician of Birmingham built the homestead. I located a few family members, but no one has photos or history for me. When digging through records at the library, I find plenty of info on the Bonaparte Millers, but none on the Birmingham family. Are they related? I would appreciate any help on locating an original photo or more family history. thank you.
