In 1865 my grandfather, William Tagg purchased one-half interest in some land in Ross County, Ohio from Joseph B. Phelps and wife, Sarah of Van Buren County, Iowa. In 1867 William Tagg sued Daniel A. Bailey of Van Buren County for the other one-half interest I believe there is some relationship between Joseph B. Phelps and William Tagg. Any help would be appreciated.
