This Carrie De Hart is very likely Cornelia (Carrie) De Hart. Born Aug. 1848 in Van Buren County. Her family had moved to Santa Cruz County, just north of Carmel (Monterey County) before 1880. Father was Bartley De Hart who came to California during the gold rush and stayed.

A number of other De Hart's from Van Buren County moved to California in the second half of the 1800s.

She married Timothy Fielding Phillips on 10-26-1875 in Bentonsport, Van Buren County, IA. They are found in Los Angeles County in 1900. She died about 1903.
