Mrs. George Kehl died Friday at home near Sharon and the remains taken to Jacksonville, Ill., for interrment.

[date not stated but possition in scrapbook would suggest late Feb. or early March, 1907]

Her husband recorded her date of death as Mar. 9, 1907. Her name was Nora (Covey) Kehl, and she was in the later stages of pregnancy when she died, with their first child. George and Nora had come to farm near Bonaparte from Morgan Co., IL in 1903. George remained until 1910, when he sold everything and moved back home to Morgan Co. Although the entry is brief, it confirms that she died in Iowa, not in IL.
