WARREN KEELER

Warren Keeler, for many years a farmer residing in the Valley school district south of Mt. Sterling, died at his home early Tuesday morning, May 31. Mr. Keeler was 62 years of age. He was a highly esteemed member of his community.

Funeral services were held at Mt. Sterling Christian church Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock [sic].

Warren Rosswell Keeler, son of George and Margrette Keeler, was born July 31, 1864, in Columbiana county, Ohio, and departed this life May 31, 1927, at Mt. Sterling, Iowa at the age of 62 years and 10 months.

He resided in Ohio until the early age of 15 years, when with his parents he moved to Kansas, then to Van Buren county, Iowa, in the same year. In this community he spent the remainder of his life.

He was united in marriage to Sarah Jane Poling Feb. 19, 1893. To this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters: Rex of Cortez, Colo.; Ross of Ottumwa; and Ralph, who is still at home; Mrs. Rena Buckles of Davenport; and Mrs. Rebecca Leathers of Fairfield.

Besides his wife and children he leaves to mourn his death three grandchildren, two brothers, John of Bonaparte and William of Mt. Sterling, and a host of friends and relatives. Two sisters, Mrs. Anna Steeples and Mrs. Alice Boyer preceded him in death.

His religious interests were in the Christian church at Mt. Sterling.
