A.C. HUFFMAN PASSED AWAY.
Died Suddenly from Heart Disease
Saturday Morning.--
Saturday’s Consitution-Democrat: Andrew Camel Huffman, a resident of Keokuk for nineteen years, died suddenly of heart disease at 5 o’clock this morning at his residence, 1126 Main street. He had been in poor health for two or three weeks, but nothing serious was thought to be the matter.Deceased was born June 17, 1844, at Farmington, Iowa, where he lived a short time before moving to Bonaparte. He received his education in the public schools at that place and when a young man enlisted in the Forty-fifth Iowa infantry, but was not called to the field for active service.. For 20 years he was engaged in the grocery business in Bonaparte.
Mr. Huffman came to Keokuk in 1890, and has lived here ever since. He traveled for Pechstein & Nagel Co. for 10 years after coming here.
The surviving relatives are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Katie Graves of Elgin, Ill., and one step-daughter, Grace De Long of this city.
[Deceased was known to nearly everybody at Bonaparte and vicinity. At one time he had the largest grocery trade in the county. Ed. Dem.]
