Mrs. Rachel W. Bogle.

Rachel Wilson was born in Ohio, March 31, 1835, and died Dec. 7, 1910. In 1852 she was married to Samuel A. Bogle of Ohio and soon after came with her family to Iowa, locating on a farm near Birmingham. She has lived in Birmingham for the past forty years. Mr Bogle died about twenty years ago.

Nine children were born to her of whom the following are left: - Mrs. Mary Raney of Fairfield, Mrs. Celia Lindsay of Lacombe, Canada, Mrs. Annie Cunningham of Birmingham, Dr. W. I. Bogle of Bonaparte, Chas. S. Bogle of Mt. Zion and R. Reid Bogle of Birmingham.

Mrs. Bogle had been a patient sufferer during a long illness. She was a devoted mother and homemaker, always cheerful and contented, looking for the best in everybody. She lived a consistent Christian life not only as a duty, but as a pleasure.

The funeral services were held at the U.P church in Birmingham, Thursday afternoon, and were conducted by a former pastor, Rev. Hamilton of Monmouth.
