Adam Snyder was born in Chester county, Penn., August 10, 1816, and came to Van Buren county, Iowa, in 1859, joined the M. E. church when about twenty-two years of age, of which church he has ever been a faithful member. He was married to Anna Mary Tussy in 1847, who now survives him with two children, one son and daughters, Wm. M. and Mrs. A. V. Easling, to mourn his loss. He departed expressing a living hope in Jesus, on Jan. 8, 1893.
The funeral occurred on January 10, 1893, at the M. E. church, in Bentonsport. He was interred in the Bentonsport cemetery.
