Walter McDaniel

The many friends of Walter McDaniel, who had been anxiously hoping for reports of his improvement, heard with sorrow that he had passed away Wednesday morning, May 8. [handwritten "12"]

Mr. McDaniel was taken ill Thursday evening, May 2, with pneumonia, which, aggravated by heart trouble, with which he had previously been troubled, became serious immediately. Fears were early entertaining that the disease might prove fatal; but a professional nurse was procured and all that medical science and loving care could do, was done. But all to no avail; the Death Angel came in the early morning hours and bore away the spirit of a kind and loving husband and father in the prime of manhood.

Walter McDaniel was born Nov. 13, 1867, on the old McDaniel Homestead near Farmington, where he spent the greater part of his life. He was married on his twenty-first birthday, Nov. 13, 1888 to Miss Minnie Grimm. To their union were born four daughters, Sarah, Lottie, Nora and Beulah, the last three of them remain to comfort there sorrowing mother.

Besides the wife and daughters the deceased is survived by his mother, Mrs. Anne McDaniels, and one sister, Mary, the wife of L. H. Cooley, of New Brighton, N. Y.

The deceased was a member of the Odd Fellows, Red Men and Rebekah lodges. He was honored and respected for his integrity in business affairs.
