MARY DIDEMA MACKLIN.
Died Jan. 21, 1902, at The Age of
20 years, 9 months and
15 days.A LONG ILLNESS.
Mary Didema Macklin was born in Clark Co. Missouri, April 6, 1881, and died at her home in Bonaparte Jan. 21, 1902, having lived 20 years, 9 months and 15 days.
Her girlhood was spent on a farm near Anson, Missouri, and there she received her early education. In March, 1893, she removed to Minnesota and lived there for one year. The next move was to Farmington where she remained but a short time, coming to Bonaparte in 1895 and spending the remainder of her short life here.
During her long illness of about two years duration she accepted the Lord as her savior and in her last moments told those gathered at her bedside not to weep for her as she was perfectly happy.
She leaves to mourn their loss three sisters, five brothers and a host of sorrowing friends, her father, mother and an intact sister having preceded her to the better world.
The brothers and sisters are: Mrs. Flora Sherman, Ollie and Laura Macklin, and Austin, Edson, Floyd, Dan and Frank Macklin, all of whom reside in Bonaparte except Frank.
The funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 A. M. from the M. E. church, Rev. G. H. Duty officiating, and the remains were taken to Anson, Mo. for interrment.
