Alexander Miller.
Alexander Miller was born near Dayton, Ohio, April 3, 1825. In his early manhood he came to Iowa as an early settler. In the year 1850 he was married to Miss Maria Hawk and to this union were born three children of whom but one survives, viz, Mrs. Sarah Ann Gillaspie. The date of his first wife's death is not definitely known.
Again in 1857 he was married to Mrs. Deborah Saddler and to this union were born four children of whom three are living, viz., George Miller, Mrs. Elizabeth E. Frow, and Miss Nellie C.; Eliza J. having passed away in infancy.
He departed this life Oct. 4, 1905, being eighty years, six months, and one day old.
Funeral services were held Friday at the home, Rev. Williamson of Mt. Hamill in charge.
