HALL JACOB CRESAP.

One of Elizabethtown's Most Beautiful
and Amiable Daughters Laid in
the Tomb.

On last Sunday morning, about 4 o'clock, the citizens of Elizabethtown sorrowfully received the sad intelligence that "Hall Cresap is dead." This sad information was swiftly heralded over a grief stricken community, and the people could hardly believe their own ears, but presently a white crape was hung on the Trade Palace, which told the sad story of a fair daughter being stolen by the icy hands of death from the merchant whose business house now stands in mourning. Miss Hall Jacob Cresap was the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Cresap, and would have been twenty one years old next May. It could be truthfully said that she was one of nature's fairest jewels, God's noble gift to man The minister said: "She reminds me of a beautiful landscape, perfect in all its details, showing nature's own handiwork." When but twelve years of age, Miss Hall professed religion and united herself with the Methodist church, while under the pastorate of Rev. G. W. Lyon. In referring to this, the minister said: "She is now one of our treasures to Heaven: those who knew her best, loved her most. "To the bereaved father, mother, sisters, and brothers, we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
