James Baird 1823-1888

Baird - At his home in Bonaparte, Io, October 11th, 1888, James H. Baird, aged 65 years and 16 days.

Deceased was born in Streetsboro, Ohio, September 25th, 1823. In 1852 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Bruce. They lived in Franklin, Ohio, until the fall of 1856, when they came west and located in Bonaparte where they resided until his death. He had been an invalid for eleven years, being rendered almost helpless by a stroke of paralysis.

Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Baird, two of whom, one son and one daughter, preceded their father to the tomb. James, Nora and Mrs. Baird are left to mourn the loss of a good husband and a kind father.
