William E. SPARKS, better known as "Bill" SPARKS, Arizona pioneer, author of the book, "The Apache Kid", former peace officer during the rough period of the territory dating back into the seventies, student of Apache history, is dead at Fort Apache, McNary....
Eldest of six children of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. B. SPARKS. Born in Van Buren County, Iowa, where his father was then teaching school, and was in his 69th year.... At the time of his death he was employed as Special Indian Agent, in service at Ft. Apache, McNary. Died 14 Dec. and was buried on the 15th at McNary.
