LIFE'S JOURNEY OVER
An Old Resident of Bonaparte [word missing] to Her Reward.

Mrs. Rebecca Surface was born in Preble county, Ohio, June 12, 1822, and died in Bonaparte, Iowa, May 5, 1895, aged 72 years, 10 months and 23 days. She was married Jan. 17, 1843, to Rev. H. K. Hennigh. they came to Bonaparte in 1874, at which time Rev. Hennigh was pastor of the Presbyterian church, retaining the position for about three years, when he retired from the ministry, dying in 1892.

Mrs. Hennigh leaves to mourn the loss of a faithful and loving mother, three children, M. L. Hennigh, of Brookville, Ind., Mrs. H. D. Newland, of Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. D. W. Riggle, of Bonaparte; also seven grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian and and exemplary woman and departed this life in the full hope of a never ending eternity.

The funeral occurred from her late residence May 7, 1895, conducted by Rev. J. Ludwig, assisted by Rev. G. W. Barber.

The pallbearers were W. E. Smith, A. McDonald, Geo. Ryland, John Young, Jacob Wolf and Jacob Eich.
