The Grim Messenger.
For a number of months passed, Mrs. Samuel Cochran, of Bentonsport, has been suffering from that dread ailment, consumption; and, for the past month or more has been almost constantly in the shadow of death. She recognized the approaching dissolution, and long to be brought to Bonaparte, her former home, that her last hours might be soothed by the tender care of her sisters who reside here, which care was lovingly accorded her to the end of her earthly career.
OBITUARY.
Anna Bell Binheimer, daughter of John and Melissa Binheimer, was born in Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa, November 12, 1869, and died in Bonaparte, Iowa, December 7, 1897, aged 28 years and 25 days. She was married January 22, 1897, to Samuel Cochran, who survive her. She also leaves, to mourn her loss, two brothers, three sisters and many friends, her parents having departed this life several years ago.
The funeral services occurred at Bonaparte, from the home of Miss Ella Steadman, on the afternoon of Dec. 9, 1897, conducted by Rev. A. E. Thornley, of Bentonsport, and the remains were laid to rest in the Bonaparte cemetery by the side of her parents.
