Stella Wilson Casady 1884-1961

Stella Wilson Casady was born in Bonaparte, Iowa, July 8, 1884, and passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa, March 23, 1961. She was the daughter of Frank and Cynthia Wilson.

She was united in marriage to Ben C. Casady, September 16, 1903. Mr. Casady died August 21, 1945.

Mrs. Casady spent most of her life in Cantril, and was a member of the Methodist Church, and a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd F. Jemison and Mrs. C.P. Martin of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Claude Chesmore of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons, Clyde S. Casady of Cohasset, Mass., and Carl B. Casady of Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at the Cantril Methodist Church, March 26th, with Elder Herbert C. Shaw in charge, assisted by the Cantril Chapter of O.E.S. The vocalists were Mrs. Jim Charbonneau and Mrs. Maynard Manske, accompanied by Mrs. H.C. Shaw. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
