Mrs. Susie Anna Reed
Mrs. Susie Anna Reed (nee Susie Morse) sixty-seven years old, 115 So. Spring avenue, Independence, Mo. died May 28, at St. Joseph hospital, Kansas City, Mo. She had been confined to the hospital only three days with heart complications. The end came quite unexpectedly. She leaves five daughters: Mrs. O.M. Lindley of the home; Mrs. Fred Irish, Overland Park, Kan.; Mrs. W.K. Curry, Fort Worth, Texas; Mrs. E.L. Martin, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Miss Jennett Reed, Chicago; three sons: Hazen D. Reed, Kansas City, Mo.; Robert J. and Paul L. Reed, both of Greenwood, Miss.; three sisters: Mrs. Carrie L. Lang, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Jennie M. Peterson, Madison, Wis. and Mrs. Eddalee Armstrong, Yakima, Wash. and two brothers: George W. Morse, Tulsa, Okla. and Frank L. Morse, Chicago.
All her children and brother, Frank and sister, Jennie were present at the last rites held at Newcomers Community Chapel, Kansas City, Mo. June 1st. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
The deceased, who was known in Farmington as Sudie Morse, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.H. Morse, and we presume was born in what became known a little later as the Turton home, across the street from the former Nellie Therme home along south Second street.
