Henry Rinabarger 1807-1893

Henry Rinabarger was born in Pennsylvania, Oct 15, 1807, and died at his home in Milton September 8, 1893, being 85 years, 10 months and 23 days old. The deceased was married to Miss Eva Reddick in 1828. Unto them were born nine children, five of whom with their mother, preceded him to the spirit land. Four survive to mourn their loss. In 1877, the deceased with his wife, united with the Christian church in Keosauqua, and both lived devoted Christians until called from labor to reward. In 1840 Mr. Rinabarger moved with his family to Jackson township, this county. Hence they were among the earliest settlers of the township. During the last eight years of his life his home has been in Milton, where he was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was an active member of the Christian church at Milton. The funeral was from the church at 10 a.m. the 9, Elder Renfro his pastor, preaching. The remains were followed by many relatives and friends to the Egypt cemetery and tenderly laid beside his companion to await the voice of the Son of God, who shall awake the sleeping dead.
