OBITUARIES

GEORGE SCHIRCH

George Schirch, 93, 1815 Jackson St., Burlington, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Burlington Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient for six days.

A retired farmer, Mr. Schirch was born in Scotland Co., Mo., April 6, 1881, the son of Joseph and Margaret Miller Schirch. He married Maude Rugh Sept. 3, 1905. She died June 23, 1942. He was the last member of his family.

After his son-in-law's death, the daughter Marie and he made their home together in Burlington. His daughter and one niece survive besides several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all. He was a kind father and neighbor and always willing to help his friends as long as his health permitted.
