George ELLIS (1825-abt 1909)

George ELLIS died at Keosauqua, native of New York, born in Sullivan Co., 3/26/1825, came to Iowa with parents in the spring of 1839 to Keosauqua. He married 3/31/1850 Miss Ruth GALE daughter of John & Rebecca G. GALE (McCRARY) who survives. There were no children. In 1855 he moved to Vernon Township and to Keosauqua in 1892.
