Died, on Thursday, Aug. 8, 1901, at his home in this city, Wm. Neally, aged 65 years. Mr. Neally had been ill since January but only a few hours before his death did the ailment, dropsy, take a serious turn. Deceased was an old soldier, having served three years in the war of the rebellion and acquitting himself with honor. He had been a member of Elias M. Ware Post No. 516 for the year, being transferred from the Vernon post. The funeral was held Saturday from the home, Rev. Rolingson preaching the sermon, after which the body was turned over to the comrades of this post, who committed it to earth with their beautiful ceremony.
