Kenneth Eugene Smith

Kenneth Eugene Smith, 69, of rural Farmington passed away Tuesday, February 19, 1991 at 7 p.m. at Veterans Administration Medical Center in, Iowa City.

The son of Emil F. and Ethel Coffin Smith, he was born at Cantril on November 22, 1921.

He served with the United States Army as a Sergeant during World War II and was a member of the Memphis V.F.W. and the D.A.V. of Goshen, Indiana, and was a farmer.

Surviving are seven sons, Ronald Dean Smith of Revere, Missouri, Roland Gene Smith and Roger Carlton Smith, both of Farmington, Robert Lee Smith of Alexandria, Missouri, Richard Wayne Smith of Nashville, North Carolina, Russell Lowell Smith of Wayland, Missouri, Roy Kenneth Smith of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Ramona Colleen Westfall of Dixon, Wyoming; one sister, Mrs. Earl (Naomi) Weaver of Goshen, Indiana; 20 grandchildren and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 23, 1991 at Shaffer & Sons Memorial Chapel with Reverend Mike Shea officiating. Burial was in the Christy Cemetery, rural Farmington with military rites by the VFW of Memphis, Missouri.
