Daisy A. Struble Widup, 82, of 401 Longbranch, Dodge City, Kansas, died Thursday, April 18, 1991, at Humana Hospital in Dodge City, Kansas.
She was born May 30, 1908 in Keosauqua, Iowa, to Cass Aylor and Minnie Beer Aylor.
She grew up in Keosauqua and attended schools there. She married Jesse L. Struble on November 23, 1925 in Keosauqua, Iowa. They later lived in Cantril, Iowa until 1929 when they moved to Dodge City. He died September 22, 1963. She later married Hanson Widup in 1971 at Dodge City. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1978. She worked for Trinity Hospital as a cook in the 1940s and at Kline's Dairy in the early 19150s. She was also preceded in death by a brother Kermit (Bill) Aylor of Keosauqua, March 26, 1991.
Daisy was a member of First Christian Church, Dodge City.
Survivors include four daughters, Arlene Hoskinson, Louise Rushing, Betty Aley, Donna Penner; one step-son, Bill Widup; step daughter, Shirley Laneer and a brother, Richard Aylor of Keosauqua, 12 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 A.M., Monday, April 22, 1991 at Swaim Funeral Home, Larry Williams officiating. Burial was in Greencrest Cemetery, Dodge City. Arrangements were in charge of Swaim Funeral Homes.
