Florence R. Sprouse, daughter of Charles and Genevieve Davis Keck, was born August 8, 1904 at Croton, Iowa and departed this life the evening of Wednesday, March 21, 1990 at Henry County Health Center, Mt. Pleasant, at the age of 85.

She married Selby C. Sprouse December 7, 1922 at Fort Madison. They lived in Van Buren County including many years in the Cantril community. Mr. Sprouse died in 1968. Mrs. Sprouse moved from Cantril to Salem in 1974. She was of the Methodist faith.

Remaining to cherish her memory are a son, Clyde and his wife, Marguerite of Keosauqua, three daughters, Vera Garrett, Gracie Warning and her husband, Richard and Carolyn McLeland and her husband, Ray, all of Salem, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Three brothers, three sisters and a great grandson preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Saturday, March 24, 1990 in the Cantril United Methodist Church, with Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating.

Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril.

A memorial was established for Maple Grove Cemetery.

Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
