Dale Wood

Dale Wood, 73, Route 2, Farmington, Iowa died at 10 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 1990 at St. Francis Continuation Care Center, Burlington.

Mr. Wood was critically injured last Sunday when he was thrown from a mule near Farmington.

He was born December 24, 1916 at Revere, Missouri. He had lived in the Farmington area for 33 years. He had owned and operated Wood's Store and Service Station near Farmington. He was a member St. Boniface Catholic Church of Farmington, the Farmington Trail Riders and the Farmington Gun Club.

On August 21, 1939 at Lansing, Michigan, he married Christina Jorae, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, David of Route 2, Farmington; three daughters, Julia Ann Matheney, Memphis, Tennessee, Janet I. Klasing, Andover, Kansas and Nancy Ballew, Donnellson; two brothers, Stuart of Kahoka, Missouri and Dean of Canton, Missouri; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His parents were Joseph and Geoeretta Barrows Wood.

Services were held Monday, April 16, 1990 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Reverend Paul Connolly officiating. Burial was in Farmington.

Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
