STOCKPORT - Glen Ware Lydolph, 75, of Stockport, died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 1990, at Burlington Medical Center.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Dibble Cemetery south of Stockport. Visitation is open after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Stockport Lions Club, Stockport Library or Stockport First Responders.
Lydolph was born July 6, 1914, in Bonaparte, the son of Homer and Bertha Ware Lydolph. He married Gertrude Pratt Aug. 21, 1939, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was in the U.S. Navy from 1936 to 1940, serving on the aircraft carrier USS Lexington. He worked at Douglas Aircraft Company in Santa Monica, Calif., for 33 years. He retired in 1973 and returned to Stockport, where he was active in the Lions Club, serving as treasurer, and was in the Stockport Library Board. he had been active in Boy Scouts while in California.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Steven of Ferndale, Wash.; two grandsons; two sisters, Mildred Bell of Fort Worth, Texas, Hazel Olson of Montrose, Colo.; and a brother, Minor Lydolph of Stockport. His parents and two infant sons preceded him in death.
