Nettie Mable Alberts

Nettie Mable Alberts, 73, of rural Montrose, died Monday, April 10, in her home.

She was born Aug. 17, 1915, in New Boston, Iowa, the daughter of George Earl and Greta P. Harrison Kite. She married John J. Alberts on April 10, 1935, in Mexico, Mo. She was employed by the Sheller Glove Co. for 34 years before her retirement in 1982.

Survivors include her daughter Mrs. Dale (Lorena) Wildrick of Montrose; sisters Mrs. Leonard (Ester) Honeycutt of Keokuk, Mrs. Robert (Ila Mae) Vermazen of Montrose, and Mrs. DeWayne (Rita Fae) St. Clair of Farmington; brothers John Kite and Otis Kite, both of Farmington, and Charlie Kite of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, one great granddaughter, three step-grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 1, 1976, a son and three brothers.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Schmidt-Vigen Memorial Home with Rev. Wayne Denton officiating.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Schmidt-Vigen and the family will meet with friends from 7-9 p.m.
