Ivan W. French

Ivan William French, 81, of southeast Kansas City, died August 9, 1989 at a hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.

He was born in Athens, Missouri to William S. French. He moved to this area 1953. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1927 and attended Business College in Fort Madison.

Mr. French, who worked for the Skelly Oil Co. for 43 years, retired as regional sales manager in the mid-1970s. He was a judge and announcer at horse shows and a member of the First Baptist Church, Grandview.

Surviving are his wife, Genevieve French of the home; a daughter, Jean Lawing, Peculiar in Cass County; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
