Eleanor J. Casady

Eleanor J. Casady, 73, of 1425 Fulton Street, died at 6;49 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, in Keokuk Area Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1916, in Hillsboro, Iowa, the daughter of Jess and Mary Ross Thorton. She married Russell Casady. She was formerly employed at Keokuk Country Club and numerous private residences.

She was of the Christian Faith.

Survivors include her daughters Beverly J. Casady of Keokuk and Janet M. Kile of Des Moines; two grandsons; and brothers Ross Thorton of El Monte, Calif., Billie Thorton of Pleasanton, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a great-grandson.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Greaves Mortuary with the Rev. William Mitchell officiating.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Garden.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday Greaves Mortuary and the family will meet with friends from 7-9 p.m.

A memorial is being established.
