Former Keosauqua resident Hazel Beall, 85, died in a Long Beach, Calif. hospital April 18. She had been a patient for 10 years.
The daughter of M.H. and Winifred Henry DeHart, she was born at Vernon Sept. 13, 1902. She graduated from Keosauqua High School and married Bruce Beall, who was principal and superintendent of schools at Keosauqua until they moved to Long Beach in 1938. He died in 1986.
She is survived by a sister, Nina Lee of Keosauqua and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters.
The funeral and burial were in Long Beach Wednesday, April 20.
