Stebbins.

Thomas A. Stebbins passed away at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, of heart trouble at the residence, 429 Fourth street, Fort Madison, Iowa; aged 52 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Thomas A. Stebbins was born in Salem, Henry county, Iowa, January 3, 1861. He came to Fort Madison from Bonaparte, Van Buren county, some fourteen years ago and has been a resident here since, engaged in the hardware and agricultural implement business.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Hiram, and three daughters, Mrs. Will Appleton of Lexington, Ky., Miss Kathryn Stebbins and little Dorothy, at home; also by two brothers and four sisters, H.G. Stebbins of Keokuk, C.S. Stebbins of Bonaparte, Miss Mary Stebbins of Bonaparte, Mrs. Alice Bennett of Decatur, Ill., Mrs. James Cantril of West POint, Iowa, and Miss Margaret Stebbins of Hoboken, N.J.

Stebbins.

The funeral of the late T.A. Stebbins was held from the residence, 429 Fourth street, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Rev. F. A. Gageby of the Presbyterian church officiating. The pallbearers were G.L. Walrod, H.E. Lyon, F. Prosser, Henry Werner, W.M. Hutton and Ed. Queberg. Delegations from the Woodmen and the Eagles were in attendance, as well as several relatives and friends from out of town. The remains were taken to Keokuk to await preparation of a vault at Oakland here.
