Died- George W.Sturdivant was born in Bonaparte Iowa, March 23, 1861 and died Jan 10, 1887, aged 25 years, 9 months and 17 days.

Death is always sad; but there are causes which render it doubly so.

Only a short time since Mrs. Betty Sturdivant was called upon to give up her beloved daughter Jessie, and now George, a dutiful son, and her mainstay support, has also been taken. Her own health, too, appears to be at present, in a very precarious condition. The sorely bereaved and afflicted family have the condolence and sympatby of the entire community.

The funeral services were conducted by I.K Hennigh, assisted by Rev. Elliot. A Brief discource from Job 1:21 was delivered.
