Paul Hart

DOUDS - Paul J. Hart, 71, of Douds died Jan. 3, 1987, at his home.

He was born Sept. 30, 1915, in Eldon to Pearl and Mary Miller Hart. He married Florence Teeter March 26, 1938, in Lancaster, Mo.

He was a brakeman and conductor for Rock Island Railroad for 24 years. He lived in Eldon until moving to a farm near Douds in 1956. He moved to Douds in June 1986. He was a member of Eldon Baptist Church and Celestial Lodge 413 AF&AM.

He is survived by his wife; a brother Richard of Cedar Rapids; six sisters, Marilyn Wells, Marie Hurley and Betty Wright of Ottumwa, Shirley Flaherty of Oskaloosa, Margie Carter of Muscatine and Izetta Keasling of Eldon.

The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.

Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home followed by masonic rites.

Memorials have been established to Douds Masonic Lodge.
