Harley H. Grimm

Harley H. Grimm, 89, former long-time Farmington resident, died Wednesday, April 1, 1987, at the Americana Nursing Home, Davenport.

Mr. Grimm was born December 20, 1897 in Farmington. He was a retired barber and moved to Davenport in the early 1970s. He was a member of the Farmington Baptist Church.

On August 24, 1925, in Farmington, he married Ella Mae Christy, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Thomas of Davenport and Marvin of Craig, Colorado; a daughter, Mrs. David (Mae Joe) Carson, Davenport; a sister, Ollie Apeland, Donnellson; half sisters, Charlotte Cotta of Sun City, Arizona and Betty Grimm of Moose Lake, Minnesota; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. His parents were Tom and Minnie Kelly Grimm.

Private funeral services were held Saturday, April 4, 1987 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington. The Rev. Ron Haas officiated. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the Farmington Baptist Church. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
