E. Paul Jenkins

E. Paul Jenkins, 78, of Farmington, died on Sunday, April 12, at 11:20 a.m. in Keokuk Area Hospital.

Born Mar. 27, 1909 at Farmington, he was the son of Eugene and Isabella Hanan Jenkins. He married Ella Mae Shuler Feb. 12, 1932 at Kahoka, Mo.

He lived in Keokuk from 1942 to 1947 and Jacksonville, Ark. from 1972 to 1983 and the rest of his life in farmington(err). He operated a machine shop in Farmington until 1972. He was a member of the Anson Community Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Modern Woodmen.

Survivors include his wife Ella Mae Shuler Jenkins of Farmington; four sons, Ottis E. Jenkins of Long Beach, Calif.; Carroll L. Jenkins, Santee Calif., Ervin Jenkins of Silvis, Ill., Melvin Jenkins of Jacksonville, Ark.; and three daughters, Marie Toothacre of San Diego, Calif., Nelma Hammond of Jacksonville, Ark., and Vickie Randolph of Farmington; one sister, W. Marie Jenkins Stewart, no address given, 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother.

The service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Shea will officiate. Memorials have been established to the Farmington EMT.
