Thomas J. Bratton

Thomas J. Bratton, 57, of 4501, 15th Ave., Rock Island, Ill. died Saturday, June 13, 1987 at 2 p.m. at Franciscan Medical Center, Rock Island.

Services were held Wednesday, June 17, 1987 at DE Roo Funeral Home, Moline. Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Mr. Bratton was born Dec. 25, 1929 in Rock Island, Ill. where he married Charlotte R. Towne of Kilbourne, Iowa, April 22, 1950.

He was a carpenter, employed by Larry Carlson Construction Co., Moline for seven years, last working February, 1983. Before that he was a carpenter for Gilbert Leech Const. Co. of Moline for 25 years.

He was a navy veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of National Rifle Assn., The Rock River Rangers and was active in shooting big bore, small bore, pistol and black powder.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Rock Island.

Surviving includes his widow Charlotte, a daughter, Katrina Bratton, Rock Island, sons Todd P. of Moline, Ill.; Michael T. of Illinois City, Ill., two daughters-in laws, Lori of Moline and Treasa of Illinois City, his father Walter Bratton Sr. of Moline, Ill., sisters Delores McMaster, Highland, Calif.; Phyllis Setchfield of St. Louis, Mo., Margery Lott, Moline, Ill. and a brother Walter J. Bratton Jr. of Moline.
