Guida Franklin

Guida M. Franklin, 68, of rural Keosauqua, died at 6:10 pm. Monday, July 13, at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua.

Born Jan. 3, 1919, at Brashear, Mo., she was the daughter of Pearl and Belva Conkle Brewer. She married Robert Franklin April 6, 1934. He died Dec. 13, 1986.

She and her husband farmed in the Batavia and Libertyville area until moving to their present farm near Pittsburg in 1946.

Surviving are six sons, Richard, Leo, General, and Gary, all of Keosauqua, Robert, Gorin, Mo., and John, Fort Madison; one half brother, James Franklin, Keosauqua; two half sisters, Fern Heady, Texas, and Belva Hannah Hugg, Sperry; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at their convenience at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.

Services for Mrs. Franklin will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pedrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Pittsburg Cemetery. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
