Julia M. Moore

Julia M. Moore, age 87, was a resident of Calu Apts., Fairfield. She was a lifetime resident of Stockport and Birmingham area until moving to Fairfield two years ago. She died Tuesday, July 7 at the Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

She was born May 23, 1900 in Lick Creek township, Van Buren County. Her parents were Thomas M. and Nina Laughlin Doud. She was married to Tom E. Moore on March 6, 1918 at her parents home near Birmingham. She worked as a nurses aide in the Moore Nursing Home at Stockport for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Raymond, one grandson, her parents, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Moore of Birmingham and William Moore of East Peoria, Ill., seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Thursday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham. Burial in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham. Memorials can be made to the Heart Association.
