Rosie Gonterman

Rosie I. Gonterman, 82, of Batavia died July 1, 1987, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

She was born Sept. 12, 1904, in Davis County to George and Anna Minnick Clark. She was a resident of Jefferson County most of her life. She worked at the Jefferson County Hospital, and in several nursing homes in Fairfield for 30 years. She married F. Gonterman in 1925. He died in 1954.

She is survived by two sons, Floyd F. of Washington and Ralph E. of Keosauqua; five grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

The services were Friday, July 3, 1987 at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia, the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial was in Rominger Cemetery, south of Batavia.
