Doral Josephine Hopmann

Doral Josephine Hopmann, daughter of Clarence and Ollie Johnston, was born October 3, 1908 near Stockport and passed away Saturday evening, August 8, 1987 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

She graduated from Stockport High School with the class of 1926 and attended business college in Fort Madison, Iowa. After graduating from the college, she worked in Washington, D.C. a short time for Internal Revenue Service then transferred to St. Louis in 1932.

She married Raymond Hopmann November 26, 1936 in St. Louis.

She is survived by a son, James Irvin of St. Louis; a daughter, Carol Joan of Afton, Oklahoma; two-granddaughters; a sister, Vera Johnston of St. Louis and a brother, Don Johnston of Stockport. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother Paul and a sister Irma.

Doral was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.

As per her wishes, graveside services were held on Wednesday, August 12, 1987 at 1 p.m. by Jeff Doty, a family friend, at Our Redeemer Cemetery in St. Louis.
