Lula Belle Hedge

Lula B. Hedge, 93, of Williamsburg, Iowa passed away Sept. 8, 1987 at the English Valley Care Center in North English. She was born June 25, 1894 in Van Buren County, the daughter of John and Melissa Koontz Bingaman. She attended high school in Keosauqua. She married Horace P. Hedge, Dec. 1, 1923 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He passed away May 31, 1985. They farmed in the Fremont area until retiring in 1963. They then moved to Oskaloosa. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa.

She is survived by two sons, Paul of Williamsburg and Dale of Bend, Oregon, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother, Don Bingaman of Douds and one sister, Greta Ride of Keosauqua. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and three sisters.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 1987 at the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont with Rv. David Troxler officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery south of Fremont.

Fremont Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
